Well at first the game was credible, being set between MGS2 and MGS4, but now the game is set after MGS4, which honestly had me lose interest for the game.
Making a simple Spin-off like that, I think I would have gone with Gray Fox.

I consider Demon/Dark souls as both Jrpg and Wrpg (more WRPG though)
JRPG because of their setting, japanese influenced grim setting soundtrack.
However it is also clear the game is build to play more like diablo/ Borderlands / Elder Scrolls than Tales of / FF / Suikoden or Legend of mana series.
it maybe doesn't feel fun to watch, but I can assure his adrenaline muast have been through the roof the whole,

Same here, Finished Demon's Souls without too much problem, and I struggle as F in Dark Souls.
